Negative micropower low drop regulator

The LT1175 is a negative micropower low drop voltage regulator. Available in 8-pin PDIP and SO packages, 3-pin SOT223 and 5-pin surface-mounted DD and through-hole TO-220 packages. The 8-pin SO package is designed for low thermal resistance.

It has a static current of 45μA, which drops to 10μA when turned off. A new reference amplifier topology provides precise DC characteristics and the ability to maintain good loop stability through an extremely wide output capacitance range. Using the unique power transistor anti-saturation design, very low voltage reduction and high efficiency. Adjustable fixed 5V version. Several new features make the LT1175 very user friendly.

SHDN pins can be connected directly to positive or negative logic levels. Current limits are available at 200mA, 400mA, 600mA and 800mA. The output can be forced to reverse voltage without damage or locking. Unlike some earlier designs, the increase in static current under blackout conditions is positively limited.

The LT1175 has complete current limiting, power limiting, and thermal shutdown protection. Special attention is paid to the problem of high temperature operation of micro-power working current to prevent the rise of output voltage under no-load condition.
