NXP accelerates voice application development with intelligent voice technology and new training tools

     NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced the launch of Voice Intelligent Technology (VIT), the industry's first comprehensive native voice control software package, available in unlimited production quantities, with free online training tools available to customers. Based on advanced deep learning technology, VIT is an out-of-the-box software library that provides a far-field audio front-end that supports up to 3 microphones, an always-on wake word engine, and a voice command engine. With NXP's free online tool, customers can define their own wake words and voice commands using simple text input without recording.

     Achieving reliable on-device voice control is challenging. Not only do developers need to choose the right hardware, they also have to navigate complex speech processing software.
