Mouser Electronics Now Offers Sensirion SFM3003 and SFM3013 Flow Meters for Medical Use

      Mouser Electronics, an authorized global distributor of electronic components focused on introducing new products, is now shipping Sensirion's full line of SFM digital flowmeters, including the SFM3003 and SFM3013 flowmeters.

      The SFM3003 and SFM3013 flow meters are versatile bi-directional flow meters with low pressure drop that can support large flow ranges up to 300 standard liters per minute (SLM). Using a digital I²C interface and Sensirion's patented CMOSens® technology, these next-generation flow meters combine thermal sensor elements, signal processing and digital calibration functions on a single microchip for fast signal processing.

      The SFM3003 series offers additional functionality for measuring air, oxygen and air/oxygen mixed flow rates. Based on the SFM3003 solution, the SFM3013 digital mass flow meter is robust to overpressure (up to 1 bar gauge) and calibrated for air, oxygen and air/oxygen mixtures. The SFM3013 series can also be calibrated for Heliox mixed gases.

      Both flow meters are suitable for a variety of medical and industrial applications, including ventilation, anesthesia, inhalers, spectrometers, and more. To facilitate development, Mouser also stocks the SEK-SFM3003 and SEK-SFM3013 evaluation kits for use with the SEK-SensorBridge (sold separately), which include a flow sensor, connector cable and downloadable SEK ControlCenter software.
