Micron introduces the new Crucial Inrui P5 Plus PCIe SSD

     Crucial, the memory and storage global consumer brand owned by Light, has announced the upcoming launch of the Crucial P5 Plus PCIe SSD. It is an extension of its highly recognized NVMe solid-state Drive (SSD) product line, offering consumers high-performance built-in Gen4 storage options. The Crucial Indera P5 Plus SSD enables lower power consumption, higher speed and denser storage solutions by leveraging Micron's 176-layer NAND for the first mass-production product. In addition, Micron's advanced 176L 3D TLC NAND and innovative controller technology improves sequential write speed by 66% and sequential read speed by nearly doubling compared to the previous generation Crucial Inrui SSD products.

     Teresa Kelley, vice president and general manager of Micron's Consumer Products group, said: "As data-intensive workloads increase, consumers are increasingly demanding high-performance storage solutions to meet their needs, including engineering applications, video editing, content creation and gaming.      The Crucial Inrui P5 Plus SSD has a read speed of up to 6600MB/s, which is 67% faster at random read and 40% faster at random write compared to the previous generation Crucial Inrui Gen3 SSD [iv]. P5 Plus is compatible with new PCIe Gen4 PC versions or PCIe Gen3 system upgrades and has been tested on Intel and AMD platforms. Includes new 11th-generation Intel Core Pro and AMD Ryzen 3000 PCIe 4.0 motherboards. Similarly, these new Crucial PCIe Gen4 SSDS are backward compatible with most Gen3 PC systems that support the M.2 form factor [v].

     The new high-performance Crucial P5 Plus PCIe Gen4 SSD complements Crucial Indra's family of built-in and external SSDS, such as the MX500, BX500, P5, P2, X8 and X6. In addition, all P5 Plus SSDS come with Crucial Storage Executive management software that enables performance optimization, data security, firmware upgrades, and free cloning software to ensure easy installation out of the box.
