MVG supplies SGS with automotive antenna measurement and OTA test equipment

     SGS, a global leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification, selects wireless connectivity testing specialist Microwave Vision Group (MVG) to provide the first 5GAA VATM compliant automotive over-the-air (OTA) test equipment for its automotive testing services in Asia Pacific

     SGS purchased the SG 3000 MVG multi-probe antenna measurement and OTA test system for component to full-scale vehicle testing. The test system will be the first in the world to support automotive 5G FR1 NSA and SA and C-V2X OTA measurements in compliance with the 5GAA Vehicle Antenna Test Method (VATM) standard as well as emerging UWB technologies. Through this partnership, SGS will not only be able to provide automakers with testing, validation, and compliance services for the ever-increasing wireless standards and regulations, but the test system will become SGS' one-stop advanced technology testing and certification solution in Suzhou An integral part of the Asia Pacific region serving electric and/or connected vehicles and their networks.

      MVG's SG 3000 system is designed for full-scale vehicle antenna measurements and OTA testing, covering a wide frequency range from 70 MHz to 10 GHz. In addition to measuring antenna radiation patterns and typical S-parameters, the SG 3000 can perform OTA testing, providing analysis and results for engineers to finalize prototypes to meet 5GAA-defined automotive connectivity requirements.

      As a versatile system, the SG 3000 is suitable for a wide range of facilities, with a choice of arch sizes and fixed or mobile construction options, built according to location and space specifications.
