Littelfuse Introduces Industry's First 1000 Vdc Rated Automotive Grade Fuses

     Littelfuse Corporation announces the launch of the industry's first 1000 Vdc rated voltage automotive grade fuse product - the new EV1K series fuses. This product has been carefully designed and tested to meet the overcurrent circuit protection needs of the e-mobility market, especially in electric vehicle (EV) applications.

     EV1K series fuses provide overcurrent protection in EV high voltage power supply applications including:

● Onboard Charger (OBC)

● Battery Power Distribution Unit (BDU)

● battery pack

● DC/DC converter

● Traction motor inverter

● Auxiliary load

     "As the e-mobility market transitions from 500 Vdc to 800 Vdc battery pack voltages, there is a clear need for more robust and robust safety protection solutions," said Juergen Scheele, vice president of xEV/AEB business development at Littelfuse. "The EV1K series fuses are designed to withstand Harsh automotive applications, with 1,000 Vdc rated voltage automotive grade solutions from 60 A to 125 A. The company is also developing fuses up to 600 A.”

     EV1K series fuses offer the following key advantages:

● 1,000 Vdc voltage rating, 30,000 A interrupting current rating, and 60-125 A nominal ampere rating.

● With a compact 25 x 73 mm size, end caps with integrated screw-on terminals are resistant to mechanical vibration and shock for longer product life and service life.

● With an operating temperature range of -55˚ C to 125˚ C, it is resistant to humidity and provides reliable protection in a variety of environments.

● Eco-friendly components are RoHS compliant, halogen free and 100% lead free.
