Lattice CertusPro-NX General purpose FPGA provides advanced system bandwidth and memory capabilities for edge applications

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation has introduced the Lattice CertusPro™-NX family of general purpose FPGas. As the fourth device family based on the Lattice Nexus™ platform to be launched in just 18 months, CertusPro-NX continues Lattice's commitment to FPGA innovation with leading energy efficiency, higher bandwidth, and smaller form factor compared to comparable devices. It is the only FPGA of its kind that supports LPDDR4 external memory. The CertusPro-NX FPGA features advanced performance and the highest logic density of any Nexus device today, and is designed to accelerate application development in communications, computing, industrial, automotive, and consumer markets.

CertusPro-NX FPgas are designed to enable customers to innovate in a wide range of applications, including data co-processing in intelligent systems, high-bandwidth signal bridging in 5G communications infrastructure, and sensor interface bridging in Advanced Driver Assistance systems (ADAS) systems. Key features of Lattice's CertusPro-NX FPGA family include:

● Best-in-class energy efficiency - CertusPro-NX devices leverage Lattice's innovations in FPGA architecture and low-power FD-SOI manufacturing processes to deliver superior performance and one-quarter the power consumption of competitive FPGA products.

● First-class system bandwidth - CertusPro-NX FPgas support up to eight programmable SERDES channels at speeds of up to 10.3 Gbps, providing the highest system bandwidth in its class to support common communication and display interfaces. Examples include 10Gb Ethernet, PCI Express, SLVS-EC, CoaXPress, and DisplayPort.

● Optimized edge processing - To meet the demand for robust data collaborative processing for edge AI and machine learning applications, the CertusPro-NX FPGA has up to 65% more available on-chip memory than other similar FPgas. The CertusPro-NX device is currently the only low-power FPGA that supports the LPDDR4 DRAM memory standard, which is favored for its projected long-term availability.
