Kingston Introduces DC1500M U.2 Enterprise SSD Up to 7.68TB

     Kingston introduces the DC1500M, a U.2 enterprise-class SSD for mixed-use workloads. Designed with a high-performance Gen 3.0 x4 PCIe NVMe, the DC1500M delivers predictable random IO performance with predictable latency across a wide range of workloads.

     The DC1500M adds support for multiple namespaces, making it an ideal environment including virtualization and web hosting. From high-performance cloud services, media capture and transmission to a range of big data applications, the DC1500M sets the standard for applications where quality of service and predictability of performance are critical. Data centers need hard drives that are reliable, have serviceable form factors, and are equipped with enterprise-class features that make it easier to maintain SLAs.

     Built with long-term performance in mind, the DC1500M provides a high-performance 3.0 x4 NVMe PCIe interface to ensure high throughput and low latency for new and existing data center platforms. The drive offers consistent read/write latencies of <110µs/<206µs, respectively. In addition, the adoption of the U.2 form factor allows current 3.0- and 4.0-generation server and storage arrays to immediately utilize existing PCIe slots and U.2 backplanes, while maintaining serviceability with hot-swappable hard drives.
