Infineon Technologies Inc. provides a complete set of motor control system solutions. The pre-installed kit has a market-proven chipset with sample software and a brushless DC motor. The user simply connects a power supply to the preassembled kit to turn the motor in seconds.

     With the MOTIX Motor Control Suite, Infineon Technologies AG offers a complete motor control system solution. The pre-installed kit features a market-proven chipset with example software and a brushless DC motor. Users simply connect power to the pre-installed kit and have the motor spinning in seconds. Therefore, this motor control kit can help speed up the prototyping and evaluation of low-voltage motor control systems. Typical applications include auxiliary pumps, cooling fans, air conditioning blowers, or any other application using a three-phase low-voltage brushless DC motor.

     The MOTIX 12 V Motor Control Kit includes the market-renowned MOTIX TLE9879QXA40 device, an angle sensor (XENSIV TLE5012B-E1000), a Hall-effect switch (XENSIV TLE4968-1L) circuit, and a three-phase brushless DC motor as part of the TLE9879 evaluation kit. All components are mounted in 3D printed packages, ready for evaluation. Pre-built example code covers the most common types of motor control algorithms, including sensorless or with Hall and/or angle sensors, as well as blocking commutation or field-oriented control. This enables designers to compare and select the most appropriate algorithm based on the application.

     Complementing this evaluation kit, Infineon offers a range of free software evaluation tools with several software examples, as well as some application notes on the basics of automotive motor control and a range of online training courses to support engineers in addressing various design challenges.
