Infineon launches high voltage microcontroller

Infineon Technologies EZ-PD PMG1-B1 USB Type-C High-voltage Microcontroller (MCU) is a highly integrated single-port USB-C power supply (PD) solution with integrated step-up controller. These controllers have integrated grid drivers for VBUS NFets on consumption paths in current filling applications, in addition to hardware control protection features on the VBUS.

EZ-PD PMG1-B1 supports voltages from 4V to 24V in an integrated PD solution with a 40V tolerance and a programmable switching frequency from 150kHz to 600kHz. These microcontrollers support 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M0 processors on chip, 128KB of flash memory, 16KB of RAM, and 32KB of ROM, leaving most of the flash memory for user applications. Typical applications include cordless power tool chargers, wireless speakers, VR/AR goggles, and portable electronics.
