Infineon introduces 2300 V isolated EiceDRIVER 2L-SRC compact gate driver for optimized system efficiency and EMI in the most compact size

Infineon Technologies Inc. has introduced its latest line of isolated EiceDRIVER 2L-SRC compact (1ED32xx) gate drivers. The series comes in an 8 mm wide-body package to ensure a simple design, while integrating a two-stage swing rate control to significantly improve system efficiency. With high voltage and high security, the series is suitable for applications with demanding isolation requirements, such as 1700 V industrial motor drives. In addition, it is ideal for applications such as solar power systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and electric vehicle charging.

     The pursuit of maximum efficiency is a key requirement in today's power electronics, and Infineon Technologies AG has introduced the latest family of isolated EiceDRIVER 2L-SRC compact (1ED32xx) gate drivers. The series is packaged in an 8 mm wide body to ensure design simplicity, while integrating two stages of slew rate control to significantly improve system efficiency. This series features high voltage and high safety for applications with demanding isolation requirements, such as 1700 V industrial motor drives. Additionally, it is ideal for applications such as solar systems, uninterruptible power supplies, and electric vehicle charging.

     The 1ED32xx series have optimized gate driver circuits. Minimizing switching losses during high-load operation while reducing dv/dt and electromagnetic interference (EMI) during startup and light-load operation, slew rate can be dynamically adjusted during operation Optimize system output power without affecting EMI behavior.

     This gate driver family offers 10 A and 18 A drive current. It has a Miller clamp, making it ideal for power switches that use 0 V turn-off to avoid parasitic turn-on; at the same time, it is rated up to 2300 V to support power switches well over 1200 V blocking voltage . In addition, UL 1577 and VDE 0884-11 (reinforced isolation) certifications ensure excellent application safety and guarantee a long service life.
