     Excelitas Technologies Corp has announced the launch of its new μPAX-3 pulsed xenon light source. The μPAX-3 combines innovative tube design with state of the art circuitry and components in a single packaged light source that delivers microsecond sustained pulses of broadband light with excellent arc stability.


     The μPAX-3 module integrates the flash, trigger circuit, capacitor charging power, mounting flange and precision arc alignment device in a small cube. Using Excelitas high-stability short-arc xenon flash, μPAX-3 offers a wide range of flash energy levels and 2W maximum power in its prealignment module, capable of producing a continuous spectrum from ultraviolet to infrared

 

     The excellent stability and compact appearance of μPAX-3 make it ideal for analytical instrumentation applications including UV/visible spectrophotometers, point-of-care analytical assays, environmental assays, absorption assays, fluorescent triggers, immunoassays, and microplate readers.
