Excelitas Technologies introduces PYD 1378, 1388 and 1398 pyroelectric analog detectors

     Excelitas Technologies has introduced the enhanced PYD 1378 analog detector family. PYD 1378, 1388, and 1398 pyroelectric detectors can be used in analog detection circuits in intrusion alarm and intelligent lighting control applications. They have excellent performance to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and prevent the "false alarms" it can cause.

     The wide application of wireless technology makes it necessary for a series of electronic components and devices to operate in close proximity without causing signal distortion due to mutual interference. As a result, there is a growing demand for sensors that reduce electromagnetic interference to avoid incorrectly triggering the connected control parts.

     The Excelitas PYD 1378, 1388 and 1399 pyroelectric analog detectors are two-element detectors based on pyroelectric ceramics that can be connected in a series opposition format. Excellent EMI immunity is achieved through optimized PCB layout and GND connectivity, as well as integrated filtering circuits.
