Excelitas Technologies Introduces DigiPyro PYD 5731 Miniature Pyroelectric Detector for Smart Home and Intrusion Alarms

    Excelitas Technology Co., Ltd. has launched the DigiPyro PYD 5731 miniature pyroelectric detector, which is currently the smallest pyroelectric detector on the market. The small size and superior performance of the PYD 5731 make it ideal for sensor applications with high demands on assembly density, space constraints and product size, including smart integration in intrusion alarms and indoor/outdoor applications using analog and digital detectors Home and other products.

    The new PYD 5731 detector integrates a temperature reference element and features state-of-the-art low voltage operation at 1,8-3,6 V. It has excellent shielding performance and also has 2x14-bit digital output communication with the host microprocessor via a single-wire "direct link" interface. While standard pyroelectric detectors are usually housed in a TO-5 metal package, the new PYD 5731 is available in a TO-46 package with a diameter of only 5.5 mm.
