Diodes offers DGD0579U high - and low-side gate drivers. The high-frequency device has built-in bootstrap diodes that drive two N-channel MOSFETs typically used to control motors and DC-DC power transmission in a half-bridge configuration. High-power product applications such as wireless power tools, electric bicycles and autonomous robotic equipment can be targeted to increase efficiency and reduce size to meet increasing market requirements.

     Diodes Incorporated (Diodes) introduces the DGD0579U high-side and low-side gate drivers. This high-frequency device features a built-in bootstrap diode capable of driving two N-channel MOSFETs typically used for motor control and DC-DC power transfer in a half-bridge configuration. High-power product applications such as lockable cordless power tools, e-bikes, and self-operating robotic equipment can increase efficiency and reduce size to meet growing market demands.

     The DGD0579U's 100V floating high-side driver provides more flexibility for demanding high-power product applications. Shorter propagation delays (typically 60ns) and delay matching (within 10ns) increase switching speed and reduce dead time, creating a smaller, more efficient power system.

      Advanced MOSFET protection mechanisms are built directly into the device, which improves system reliability, optimizes the use of board space, and further reduces component count compared to traditional stand-alone solutions. These mechanisms include cross-conduction prevention, which prevents both high-side and low-side MOSFETs from turning on at the same time, and an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) feature, which can be used to account for potential power losses.

     The DGD0579U features a startup pin for power management and ultra-low (<1μA) standby current to help extend battery run time. The DGD0579U is compatible with control signals from microcontrollers and PWM controller ICs, and supports TTL and CMOS logic level inputs (down to 3.3V).the DGD0579U gate driver is housed in a compact W-DFN3030-10 package with a 3mm x 3mm footprint and a 0.75mm profile height.
