Digilent's MCC152 Voltage Output and DIO DAQ HAT

     Digilent's Measurement Computing MCC152 is a voltage output and digital input/output HAT (hardware attached on top) board designed for use with the Raspberry Pi. The MCC152 provides two 12-bit analog outputs with an output range of 0 V to 5 V and an output drive current of 5 mA. Both outputs can be updated simultaneously by software. It provides eight bidirectional digital bits, each of which can be configured as pull-up or pull-down or disabled. Each output bit can source 10 mA and sink 25 mA.

     The user can configure the software to generate an interrupt when the state of a digital input bit changes. The MCC152 can interface with 3.3 V or 5 V logic types. Input polarity is software programmable as normal (active high, default) or inverted logic (active low).

     The HAT configuration parameters are stored in the onboard EEPROM, allowing the Raspberry Pi to automatically set the GPIO pins when the HAT is connected. The C/C++ and Python open source MCC DAQ HAT command library enables users to develop applications on the Raspberry Pi using Linux. The MCC DAQ HAT library supports operation of multiple MCC DAQ HATs running simultaneously. Each API provides console and user interface (UI) based sample programs.
