Texas Instruments DRV8244-Q1 is a fully integrated H-bridge driver designed for a variety of automotive applications. The device can be configured as a single full-bridge driver or two separate half-bridge drivers. The monolithic device is designed with BiCMOS high Power Process Technology node and is power packaged to provide outstanding power handling and heat dissipation capabilities while providing compact package size, easy layout features, EMI control, accurate current detection, robustness, and diagnostic capabilities

     Texas Instruments' DRV8244-Q1 is a fully integrated H-bridge driver designed for a variety of automotive applications. The device can be configured as a single full-bridge driver or as two independent half-bridge drivers. Designed in the BiCMOS high-power process technology node, the monolithic device is packaged in a power package that provides excellent power handling and heat dissipation, while offering compact package size, ease of layout, EMI control, accurate current sensing, robustness, and diagnostics ability. The driver has the same pin function as scalable RON (current capability) to support different loads.

     These devices integrate an N-channel H-bridge, charge pump regulator, high-side current sensing and regulation, current proportional output, and protection circuitry. A low-power sleep mode enables low quiescent current. The DRV8244-Q1 provides voltage monitoring and load diagnostics, as well as protection against overcurrent and overtemperature. Fault conditions are indicated by the nFAULT pin. The driver offers a hardwired interface variant HW (H) and two SPI interface variants SPI(P) and SPI(S), where SPI(P) is used for externally supplied logic power and SPI(S) is used for internally generated logic power. SPI interface variants provide greater flexibility in device configuration and fault observability
