Chukong Technologies has partnered with Imagination to develop the latest version of the Cocos2d-x game engine

     Imagination Technologies and Chukong Technologies have announced that the latest version of Cocos2d-x has been fully optimized for Imagination MIPS cpus or PowerVR Gpus. Runs efficiently on devices with both Imagination IP cores built in. Touch Tech is the developer and maintainer of Cocos2d-x, an open source game engine that is currently widely used in the market.

     More than 400,000 developers worldwide, including seven of the top 10 game developers in China, use Cocos2d-x to develop mobile games. The exciting partnership between Imagination and Chukong Technologies means developers can easily develop games for devices running the MIPS-based Android operating system. Including Imagination's Creator CI20 microsystem platform.

     The Creator CI20 microsystem platform combines two of Imagination's key technologies - MIPS CPU and PowerVR GPU - to deliver stunning gaming experiences for entry-level and embedded devices.

     By optimizing Cocos2d-x for PowerVR's graphics architecture, Chukong Technologies ensures a smooth user experience for all games that develop 2D and 3D graphics capabilities using this game engine. In addition, Touch Technology uses the latest version of Imagination's PowerVR SDK and tools to accelerate the development of graphical applications ranging from asset export and optimization to prototyping and performance analysis.
