CML Microcircuits 5G MPA Features On-Chip Temperature Compensated RF Power Detector and Fast Switch Enable Circuit

     Operating in frequency range 2 (FR2) from 26.5 GHz to 29.5 GHz, the CML Microcircuits CMX90A702 highly linear medium power amplifier (MPA) meets the needs of 5G New Radio (NR) bands n257 and n261. The CMX90A702 is a three-stage Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) MMIC amplifier that provides +25 dBm (0.3 W) output power at 1 dB gain compression, 21 dB small signal gain, and +32.5 dBm output third-order intermodulation intercept point (OIP3). The integrated DC blocking capacitors at the RF port and output are matched to 50 Ω.

     The MPA features an on-chip temperature compensated RF power detector and fast switch enable circuitry for easy monitoring and control.
