C&K introduces soft-sounding, customizable mid-travel tact switches

     C&K, a leading manufacturer of high-reliability electromechanical switches, has added a 12mm mid-travel tact switch to its comprehensive line of tact switches with a soft sound and good tactile feel. The high reliability SFS series has an industry standard size of 12x12mm, is sealed to IP40 and has a lifespan of up to 300,000 cycles. The SFS Series simplifies the integration of a variety of customer designs and applications and is available in three customizable starting forces including 360gf, 680gf and 970gf.

     The SFS series provides soft sound and good tactile feedback, and is commonly used in automotive interiors, industrial automation, and medical device control applications. The SFS series tact switches feature plated financial points that provide reliable low-contact resistance switching to handle weak currents. The SFS series comes with SMT terminals to reduce processing time and save production costs for OEMs/EMS.

     The SFS series is rated at 35 VDC and 100 mA, but has a maximum power of up to 1W, a contact resistance of 100 milliohms, and an operating temperature of -40°C to 90°C.
