C&K follows the RK series with the RKC2 touch switch

     C&K announced the launch of the RKC2 series of tap switches following the RK series to meet more market demands. The RKC2 is a small switch ideal for applications where height is a major constraint and is available in four different operating forces (180gf, 250gf, 350gf and 500gf).

     The RKC2 switch was developed for small electronic devices such as car keys, iot devices, wearables, mobile phones, high-end consumer and medical devices. With its small size (3.5 x 2.7mm), the RKC2 is the perfect choice for space-efficient designs. The height of the RKC2 is only 1.7mm, so the printed circuit board can fit against the surface of the application device, leaving more room for other necessary components. The RKC2 has plastic contacts, which can save costs by integrating other interface buttons. This is another area where RKC2 helps save space.
