Bourns, a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, now introduces its PAD00x-T764 isolation transformer series. With functional isolation and a low form factor of 0.4 mm, these transformers simplify isolated power supply and serial communication signal integrity in CAN, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232, SPI, I2C and LAN-based low-power applications. The PAD00x-T763 series is ideal for industrial automation, embedded solutions, AC motor drivers, system integration, communication PHY, smart metering, and many other applications that require low DC power.
The Bourns model PAD00x-T764 series is designed to be easy to use in order to maintain proper communication between systems and the necessary isolation. The 3.1 kVAC withstand voltage provides an isolation barrier for high voltage hazards such as high voltage batteries. Design details include a structure with a ferrite ring core to help ensure a high coupling factor and higher efficiency. EMI performance of transformer windings is enhanced, thus reducing radiation.
The PAD00x-T764 series is compatible with Texas Instruments SN6501 and SN6506B, Maxim MAX253 and MAX845, ADI ADM2485, and similar transformer drivers. The series offers 3.3 to 5 V inputs, industry standard 3.3 to 10 V outputs, and up to 250 mA outputs with a variety of turn ratios. The Bourns Magnetics product line can also support most modification and customization requests for this push-pull transformer family.
