Bourns PLN Planar transformer

Bourns PLN Planar transformers are designed for use in 48W to 70W PoE (Power over Ethernet) applications requiring thin design and high power density. The Bourns PLN Planar transformer is a forward converter transformer capable of operating at 250kHz switching frequency with low leakage inductance of 0.29μH to 0.6μH. Available output voltages are 5V and 12V, and output current ranges from 4A to 14A, withstanding high voltage tests (1750VDC).

These RoHs-compliant surface mount transformers operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +125°C. The series is suitable for a variety of applications, including forward transformers for PoE applications, industrial power systems, switched mode power supplies (SMPS), LED lighting, and battery management systems (BMS).
