Bourns Introduces Three New Semi-Shielded Power Inductors for High Temperature Operation

Bourns has expanded its product line with three new semi-shielded power inductor sizes. Bourns® SRN3030HA, SRN4030HA and SRN5030HA power inductors meet the AEC-200 standard and are designed with high current capacity, small size, low loss, high operating frequency and high operating temperature. The high temperature grade materials are all rated to 150 °C. Wide operating temperature range from -- 55 to +150 °C.

     Bourns, a world-renowned leading manufacturer of electronic components, has expanded its product line with three new semi-shielded power inductor model series. Bourns SRN3030HA, SRN4030HA, and SRN5030HA Power Inductors are AEC-200 compliant, designed for high current capacity, small size, low loss, high operating frequency, and high operating temperature, using high-temperature grade materials rated at 150 °C, And offers a wide operating temperature range of –55 to +150 °C. These features and capabilities make Bourns' newest power inductors highly reliable and ideal solutions for power conversion applications such as EMI filtering, DC-DC converters, and power supplies in consumer, industrial, and telecom electronics.

     A magnetic silica coating applied to the perimeter of the inductor winding enhances the inductor's shielding and reduces magnetic field radiation compared to unshielded options. In addition, the semi-shielded construction helps reduce component cost compared to conventional ferrite shielded inductors of similar size. Each series is available with different heating current ratings, with saturation currents from 5 A to 10 A. The Bourns® SRN3040HA and SRN4030HA series have an inductance range of 1-100 μH and the SRN5030HA has an inductance range of 0.47-100 μH. These compact power inductors achieve high Q values of 13 to 33, provide high impedance at the resonant frequency, and combine low loss operation.
