Bourns Expands Line of 1210 Size Automotive Grade Common Mode Chip Inductors

     Bourns, Inc, a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components, announced the expansion of its line of 1210 size automotive grade common mode chip inductors. The new SRF3225TABM and SRF3225TAFD common-mode chip inductor series offer low emissions and high impedance over a wide frequency range to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) entering or leaving the system. The new series of filters complement Bourns' existing portfolio of common mode chip inductors and support higher data rate two-wire bus systems in automotive, industrial and other electronic applications. Two new families of compact Bourns® Common Mode Inductors feature a ferrite core design with bifilar winding to provide a shielded construction with excellent common mode noise rejection.

     Each end of the inductor core has a sidewall terminal with a minimum height of 0.3mm, designed to help improve the mechanical strength of the component once assembled on the circuit board. Both model series are AEC-Q200 qualified, providing high reliability and durability. Model SRF3225TABM-201Y is designed to meet Open Alliance IEEE 100Base-T1 requirements, Model SRF3225TAFD-101Y is ideal for common mode noise rejection in typical CAN and higher data rate IEC 62228-3 CAN-FD Class II transmission systems. This model Differential to Common Mode Rejection (DCMR) for CAN FD Class III is also supported.
