Analog Discovery Pro ADP5250

     Digilent's ADP5250 brings higher sample rates, bandwidth, and a more rugged design to the Analog Discovery Pro Series for easy control of the highly rated, free WaveForms application software. The ADP5250 is designed to combine a complete suite of instruments into a flexible programmable device featuring a mixed-signal oscilloscope with two 100 MHz to 1 GS/s analog input channels, waveform generator up to 20 MHz sine output, 34 digital sample rates Channels up to 100 MS/s, triple output power supplies up to 25 V, external triggers, and built-in programmable digital multimeter.

     Analog Discovery Pro features several advanced triggering options. For example, instruments in WaveForms can be cross-triggered based on activating digital protocol oscilloscope captures based on receive and decode. In addition, external signals can use dedicated external trigger in/out to trigger events. Digilent's free WaveForms software provides functionality that can be configured on the instrument itself, or in one of the available scripting interfaces for more control or automated configuration.

     WaveForms is a free software application for the ADP5250 that can use existing analog and digital instruments. The software has been improved for over 10 years based on customer feedback and features a computer- and laptop-friendly user interface that provides the style of traditional desktop software. The device communicates with WaveForms via a USB connection to a computer, allowing users to capture, record, analyze, and generate mixed-signal and mixed-domain waveforms. WaveForms can be downloaded and installed in under 60 seconds, and can be tested without hardware using its demo mode feature. In addition to using instruments in the application, the WaveForms application has a script editor tool that allows custom instrument scripts in JavaScript.
