Analog Devices Announces Alias-Free ADCs with Enhanced Function, Performance and Ease of Use

     Analog Devices, Inc. announces the AD7134 alias-free analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that dramatically simplifies front-end design and accelerates time-to-market for precision DC-350kHz applications. Traditional precision data acquisition signal chain design is time-consuming as designers need to balance antialiasing filter requirements, passive component tolerances, phase and gain errors, and high-speed ADC drive requirements. The AD7134 uses a new precision ADC architecture that fundamentally changes the entire design process. The new device eliminates the need for antialiasing filters, and its resistive input greatly simplifies ADC drive design.

     The AD7134 is a quad 24-bit precision ADC with output data rates ranging from 10SPS to 1.5MSPS. Its inherent anti-aliasing capability of up to 102 dB eliminates the need for an external anti-aliasing filter, reducing the number of passive and active components required by 60 and 5, respectively. The board area is reduced by 70% compared to typical alternatives. Asynchronous sample rate converters simplify multi-device synchronization, allow users to easily implement stable sampling systems, and simplify isolation requirements.
