Analog Devices' 16-bit ADAQ23876 15 MSPS Precision High Speed μModule Data Acquisition Solution

     ADI's ADAQ23876 is a precision high-speed μModule data acquisition solution that reduces the development cycle of precision measurement systems by shifting the design burden of component selection, optimization, and placement from the designer to the device.

     The ADAQ23876 uses system-in-package (SiP) technology to reduce end-system component count by combining multiple general-purpose signal processing and conditioning blocks in a single device. These blocks include a low noise fully differential ADC driver (FDA), a stable reference buffer, and a high speed 16-bit 15 MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) ADC.

     The ADAQ23876 also includes key passive components with excellent matching and drift characteristics using Analog Devices, Inc. iPassive® technology to minimize temperature-dependent error sources and provide optimized performance. The fast settling of the ADC excitation stage and the latency-free SAR ADC provide a unique solution for high channel count multiplexed signal chain architectures and control loop applications.

     The small 9mm x 9mm BGA package enables smaller instrumentation without sacrificing performance. System integration addresses many design challenges, while the device provides the flexibility to configure the ADC drive feedback loop to support gain or attenuation adjustments and fully differential or single-ended to differential inputs. Supports operation from a single 5 V supply while achieving the best performance of the device.
