Ampleon introduces new high-function universal wideband LDMOS transistors

     Ampleon announced the launch of two new broadband amplifier families - the BLP15M9Sxxx device rated at 32V and the BLP15H9Sxxx device rated at 50V, further strengthening its portfolio of advanced and cost-effective RF power amplifier solutions.

     The BLP15M9Sxxx and BLP15H9Sxxx series are based on the company's 9th generation LDMOS technology and high voltage LDMOS technology, respectively, and both support frequencies up to 2GHz. They are capable of supporting continuous wave (CW) and pulse signal operation and exhibit higher stability. The BLP15MSxxx family includes dedicated devices that deliver 100W, 70W and 30W power. The BLP15H9Sxxx family includes devices that deliver 100W, 30W, and 10W power. The BLP15M9Sxxx device provides approximately 75% efficiency, while the BLP15H9Sxxx device typically achieves 65% efficiency.

     Both amplifier ics support a wide range of frequencies, which means they are ideal for a variety of different applications. These applications range from particle accelerators and plasma generators to MRI imaging equipment, industrial heating systems, radar installations, and broadcast television.

     Ampleon's BLP15M9Sxxx and BLP15H9Sxxx LDMOS amplifiers are available in small SOT1482-1 (direct-lead) and SOT1483-1 (Gull-wing) packages. Its highly robust construction ensures continuous reliability. The use of plastic packaging helps ensure excellent thermal performance while reducing unit costs. Bilateral electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection is also integrated into each device.
