Advanced Energy Introduces LCM4000HV Series Configurable Power Supplies

     Advanced Eenergy Corporation of the United States announced the launch of the LCM4000HV series of configurable power supplies. This new power system is hot-swappable and simplifies installation, maintenance and scalability for high-volume LED lighting projects such as horticultural and commercial lighting.

     The LCM4000HV single-phase AC-DC high-voltage power module has a maximum power rating of 4000W and can operate up to 95% efficiency. Combined with the new LCM12K 19" 1U rack mount, it can create a centralized current source for medium and large LED lighting installations.

     “Indoor growers looking to reduce costs and maximize farm productivity are turning to centralized power systems. This system distributes DC power directly to individual LED lights instead of AC power. This can save them up to 50% in power conversion costs "In addition to saving energy, the LCM4000HV series can speed up the installation of power conversion subsystems, provide hot-swap capability, simplify maintenance and enable rapid expansion."

     The LCM4000HV module is fully compliant with the DLC's Horticultural Lighting Technical Requirements (Version 2.1) and can also be used with Advanced Energy's new LCM12K 19" 1U rack mount to provide up to 12kW of power while being hot-swappable Replacement function. In horticultural lighting, this combination enables customers to place a power conversion subsystem containing many rack-mounted AC and DC power supplies in a control room outside the growing area.

     These modules provide flicker-free current sources from 0 to 16 A over an output voltage range of 100 to 300 VDC. The selectable input voltages are 187~364 VAC and 311~528 VAC. The input and output voltages can be configured through the Modbus interface to optimize the power supply according to the specific requirements of the target application. The LCM4000HV series features variable speed smart fans with dust control to simplify thermal management and ensure high reliability. The power supply unit has a minimum MTBF of 200,000 hours, and each module is covered by a five-year warranty.
