      Abaco Systems and Green Hills Software today announced that the 3U VPX SBC3511 single-board computer supports the INTEGRITY®-178 tuMP™ real-time operating system (RTOS) for avionics and safety-critical applications. The combined solution features a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), complies with SOSA™ technology standards and is certified to FACE™ technology standards. Together, these products meet many requirements for safety-critical systems, including functional safety and assurance requirements. Additionally, INTEGRITY-178 is certified to NSA-defined Separated Kernel Protection Specification (SKPP) High Robust Security and Common Criteria EAL 6+, INTEGRITY-178 tuMP is the first and only cross-section to become the NSA's new "raised standard" A real-time operating system that is part of Domain Solutions (CDS) certification.

      The high performance of the SBC3511 3U OpenVPX Rugged Single Board Computer comes from the new, highly integrated Intel Xeon E-2276M 6-core/12-thread processor (formerly Coffee Lake Refresh) operating at 2.8GHz with TurboBoost up to up to 4.5GHz. It also features 40 Gb Ethernet data, providing high-speed interconnect consistent with the SOSA I/O dense profile for maximum multi-vendor interoperability. The SBC3511 features an onboard Xilinx® Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC with built-in security features. It can be used to instantiate a series of Abaco-defined security functions, or embedded application-specific functions by the customer. Support for Intel Trusted Execution Technology is also provided.

       The INTEGRITY-178 tuMP high-security RTOS is designed to meet the most stringent requirements for both onboard functional safety and information security, including RTCA/DO-178B/C Design Assurance Level (DAL) A and SKPP requirements for high robustness. INTEGRITY-178 tuMP is a multi-core real-time operating system that supports running multi-threaded DAL A applications on multiple processor cores in a symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) or bound multiprocessing (BMP) configuration. INTEGRITY-178 tuMP is the only DO-178C and CAST-32A certified. The INTEGRITY-178 tuMP is the first RTOS certified to comply with the FACE technical standard version 3.0, and it is the only RTOS with multi-core interference mitigation for all shared resources. This Bandwidth Allocation and Monitoring (BAM) capability ensures critical applications meet their required deadlines, greatly reducing integration and certification risks. The INTEGRITY-178 RTOS is the only commercial operating system certified under the Split Kernel Protection Specification (SKPP) issued by the US National Security Agency (NSA) Information Assurance Agency. Completed by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP), this certification meets Common Criteria EAL 6+ "High Robustness" and includes all the features required to run Multi-Level Security (MLS) applications such as Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) .

       The INTEGRITY-178 tuMP is also the only RTOS certified by the NSA for "raising the bar" for cross-domain solutions.
