A wide range of sensors can be used for a variety of purposes

    Powell Electronics offers the VRS series sensors from Honeywell that meet industrial high output/resolution/temperature, hazardous location needs, and general-purpose requirements. Six application-specific series are available from stock:

    General-purpose VRS sensors are designed for use in applications with medium to high speeds or in electrically noisy environments with relatively small air gaps. The housing diameters available are 5/8" (M16), 3/8" (M12), 1/4" (M8), and 10/32". Output voltages range from 8Vp-p to 40Vp-p.

    Hazardous location VRS sensors are designed for use in locations where explosion-proof or intrinsically safe sensors are needed. The sensors are available with housing diameters of 3/4" and 5/8" (M16). Output voltages range from 30Vp-p to 60Vp-p.

    High-output VRS sensors are developed for applications requiring higher output voltages. They perform best at low to medium speeds with medium to high impedance loads. Sealed front-end versions are available for use where the sensor is exposed to fluids, lubricants, or adverse environmental conditions.

    High-resolution VRS sensors are created for use in applications where precise timing pulses and/or fine-pitch gears are employed. Proper sensor alignment is required. The sensors are offered in housing diameters of 5/8" (M16) and 3/8" (M12). Output voltages range from 17Vp-p to 170Vp-p.

    High-temperature VRS sensors are designed for use in applications where they are exposed to temperatures up to 260C. Sealed front-end versions are obtainable for applications where the sensor is exposed to fluids, lubricants, or adverse environmental conditions.

    Power output VRS sensors are developed to drive low resistance loads at large air gaps in applications where larger actuators may be employed. The products have a housing diameter of 5/8" (M16) and an output voltage of 70Vp-p.
