SIMPLE SWITCHER The subcompact power module redefines the compact power supply design

     Texas Instruments has announced the introduction of four new SIMPLE SWITCHER subcompact power modules. These modules redefine power supply design for smaller Spaces. The 17V and 5V modules are designed to fit into the smallest packages in the industry while still delivering high performance. The modules also expand the range of TI's SIMPLE SWITCHER module portfolio, allowing it to be used in a broader range of applications, such as servers, factory automation, test and measurement, and industrial designs ranging from 100mA to 2A, such as network security cameras.

     TI's 17V, 0.65A LMZ21700 and 1A LMZ21701, as well as 5V, 1A LMZ20501 and 2A LMZ20502 DC/DC power modules reduce the overall solution size by 40% compared to the previous discrete implementation. Even when operating at low power, these modules maintain high efficiency and high density, and are less susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI). All four modules speed time to market while allowing designers to easily integrate more features and functionality into the system in a small form factor.
