Qualcomm has introduced two next-generation audio platforms to enhance the wireless audio experience for high-end and mid-tier earbuds, headphones and speakers

     Qualcomm Technologies International, Inc. announced the launch of two new advanced audio platforms: the third-generation Qualcomm S3 audio platform and the third-generation Qualcomm S5 audio platform. As the most powerful platforms in their respective families, they will deliver an unprecedented audio experience at the S5 and S3 levels.

     The third-generation Qualcomm S3 audio platform is designed to bring a rich experience to mid-tier devices through robust third-party solutions in Qualcomm's Voice and Music Partner expansion program. The Qualcomm Voice and Music Partner Extension Program is a vibrant ecosystem of service providers that provide optimized and innovative technology supplements and enhancements to the Qualcomm Audio platform. These technologies are proven in advance to help Oems balance time to market and deliver all the rich features consumers expect, including hearing enhancement, spatial audio, echo cancellation and health tracking.

     At the high end, the third-generation Qualcomm S5 audio platform and its new architecture will help drive developer innovation and create a better audio experience. Compared to the previous generation platform, the platform brings more than 3x computing performance improvement and more than 50x AI performance improvement. This will enable the third-generation Qualcomm S5 audio platform to be used to build terminals that need to respond to how and where they are used, providing users with a seamless and responsive audio experience at work, at home and on the go.
